wann work on the flash, but im so tired. i went to actionscripts.org and found there site was hacked. at least the index page was. i was still able to find my way to the tutorials. anyway, the hacked front page was pretty interesting. in case its not up there anymore, it looked sumthing like this (might take some time to load):
ActionScripts.org by GipsHackers Crew

i feel sorry for AS.org, but its funny.

i wasnt feelin the scrolling entries, so i got rid of em.

so tired. i need to sleep so i can focus. im off tomorow, which means that i have llotsa time alter to work on all this and more.

workin with ActionScript brings back memories of CS. which makes me think bout goin to school for MIS. which is confusing me even more. i look to it as more of a hobby than a profession for me. then again. im at odds with myself.

so im definitely leavin xanga for my creative entries, and this blog for my other “autobiographical” entries. I’m tryin to get a new layout for my xanga, don’t know what just yet. i was playin with some pics, tryin out some stuff. we’ll see. as for the layout of this site, i have plans, and they involve Flash and XML. but first i must study them and undserstand how they can comingle. Also i have to remember all my programming classes so i can use ActionScript 2.0. it’ll be hot once im done, i hope.

Saturday was the wedding in NY. it was long. lotsa prayers and messages and songs and prayers and speaking and prayers. amazingly, with the 4 hours of sleep per night that i’d been having, i stayed awake throughout the ceremony. there were over 900 attendees. the reception was alright, but with all those people everyone was spread out and i couldn’t see the slideshow, and it was aright. if i have that many people im gonna plan it right so its more feasable to see everything and everyone.

We got home around 7/7:30 that evening. I had planned to meet the Best Buy crew at Red Robin, and then go watch Starsky & Hutch. We were supposed to meet at 630, but fortunately they ran late, and i made it just as the table was called. we ate and got to the theater and every showing was sold out until 1030, and most of them had to get up for 6AM shifts the next mornin, so we deliberated for about 30 minutes. We had the choices of seeing another movie, buying tickets for another movie and sneak into the 945 S&H, or jsut fogedboudit and go home. Finally we decided to watch the 1030 showing. it was funny. i liked it.

In my rush to leave home that night i tripped over Nicole. she fell and i twisted my leg a bit, but no injuries. Well, almost no injuries. Nicole became verry out of tune, and tuning her with her FLoyd Rose Trem is difficult, but worth it. There was one casualty, the cable running from nicole to my pedalboard became bent at nicole’s end. i tried to bend it back, but it doesnt work. i checked the connections under the sleeve, and they are connected, so it’s the lead it self. No worries, i have another cable, it’s not angled like the old one which would have been easier, but it does the trick.

back to my study in XML. or just a whole lotta nuttin til 10ish.

hmm, im not satisfied with my skills in webdesign. So, today, after buying some stuff for someone’s birthday , i went to Barnes & Nobles and bought 2 books. PHP for the world wide web and PERL and CGI for the world wide web. both from Peachpit press.

they look good, decent. its all visual, all the codes are shown in the book. good thing then is that you don’t neccasarily need a server to use the book, you can see how it all works and whatnot, BUT no software which means you cant try anything hands on really. i’m not too worried since i have a server and all this script i can look through.

speaking of which, just to show how much of a mad man…er…bear i really am, i printed out about 100-200 pages of code today. all of them from the MT library. this wonderful free tool is what will teach me the most about scripting on Unix servers using PERL and PHP and other components. yes, rosy, i know, not everyone knows what those technical terms mean, but at least you do. =P

Below im gonna talk about The Passion of the Christ the new mel gibson film thats so controversial apparently. if you havent seen it skip over it. if you ahve seen it, or jsut dont care what i ahve to say about it, higlight the following paragraph

The Passion was alright, not as moving as i thought it would be. basically cuz i know the story and have seen other Jesus films, the Kaleo Jesus play, and read “The Book” aka, the Bible. but it was very well directed and scripted. i liked how they had Satan depicted, not as a horned devil, but as human, sinister looking, but human. and overall it wasnt anit-semetic, although there may have been a few things he could have done to make it seem less like it was, but very true to The Word.

well, that’s all i got for now. tired day. truck day tomorow.

man! all i wanted was a tagboard. thats all. i dint want to keep the flooble chatterbox, cuz i wanted a customizable one of my own. so, i was copyin the tagboard intot he MT Index template and it got al kidns of screwy. i was editting and editting and dint notice that i had copied the tag code OVER the index template. IT WAS ALL GONE!

i had to make a blank blog with a template so i could get all the perl references in, and then make the tables, and links, but not to much work becuase, most of the layout was on the stylesheet file. THANK GOODNESS!

now, incase of future emergencies, im saving a backup copy on my hard drive of the Template source. WHEW! disaster averted!

So the tagboard is up, and im gonna make some changes and layout fixes but im just glad everything seems to be working.
