last night was ICF Coffeehouse. it was good. had a good time. lotsa dances and ppl. no offense to the Busch Campus ICF crew, but i like the NJMTC Coffeehouse better. it was more intimate. the place was smaller and you had to bump into ppl and it was a better setting. this coffeehouse was in a big auditorium and it was eh. Still, it was a lotta fun.

we left from Shoes house around 6 and got to Rutgers Busch Campus around 8ish. i was ahead of everyone but got there bout 5 minutes after them. there were two entrances and i was at the other end, and whatnot. whatever. and im NOT a crazy driver.

they had a skit and it was about this girl whose parents want her to get married. at the end they break out into a well coreographed dance. it was prolly from some bollywood film. iunno, cuz i dont watch much of em. im thinkin i should? maybe not. neway, all the girls were into it doin their thing, but this one girl was REALLY into. she was superstar bollywood dancer, she put her whole body and head and everything into it. everyone else was just going through the motions kinda thing. The guys were good too, but no one was into it like that girl. Nina was in it. Go Nina!

Frontlynaz went up, they were good. the sound was off. we were sittin int he back and where we were the vocals werent comin in well. Around 10 there was a break for food. mm, good food. it was indian food, chore, chicken curry, njaan, other curries, good stuff. there was also lotsa chocolate.

There were a few more acts and Zoa got on at the end, last act. kinda sucked, cuz most people had already left. it was about 11:15 when they got on. it all ended around 12. we left and got to Shoes place around 2, home at 230.

When i got home my brothers were watchin Mad TV in the family room. iunno why they were up. i went upstairs and watched some short Indie flicks c/o Atom Films. and figured id stay up until i had to go to work. Work was at 6, so if i slept id have to get up at 530. around 3 i decided itd be best to get two hours of sleep, than no sleep and be dead tired all mornin. so i went to bed, woke up and went to work, early.

When i got there it was 545, very early. I have never been that early in the last year, maybe longer. 6 o’clock rolled around, and no one was to be seen, except the cleaning guy. i called my merch manager and left her a message, cuz she was the only manager whose phone i had. she came aroun 7, the manager that was supposed to open came around 715. it was surprising, cuz he is almost never late.

today we had a meeting for about 3 hours, so my work was really a whole lotta nuttin, but i got paid for all four hours. woo, no hoo. the meeting was about restructuring the way the company works. its a big change, we have 6 managers now, instead of 5. no, wait, 7 managers. dayum! and three of them are brown nosers, two of the three really get on my nerves, one of the two just UGH! and my former merch manger, shes now a supervisor and she had to take a paycut. what sux is she wasjust promoted. there are people in the store that have been around longer than some of these aholes, that i think should be given these positions. but whatever.

1130, i need to sleep. gotta get to chruch early so i can run sound. need to learn to read Malayalam so i can run the Malyalam song projections.

Did you know Malayalam is a palindrome? i know its an old factoid, but i wonder if its still a palindrome when you spell it with malayalam letters. hmmm… BTW, notice the title? got it from here.

HOLY CRAP!

OH WOW! Alias wasnt that great i thought today. i dont think that the actor who plays dixon is that great. but whatever. the story is movin so slow! but that ending, that last 10 seconds! HOLY CRAP! JACK DO IT! SOLVE IT! GRR!

they make it hard to tell if sloane really knows everyhting that goes on, or if he’s jsut good at figurin this stuff out. cuz he never really comes right out and says that hes workin witht he covenant or not, although all roads lead to that conlcusion. guess that leaves the writers a lotta options.

BUT WOW! great ending, but i friggin want more. next weeks epsiosde looks hot. a return to the classic action filled, undercover Alias.

the irony of life. AGH!

I thought i should psot, seeing as i havent posted in 5 days.

it snowed again. thursday was another gorgeous day and friday, it snowed. i got up at 530 to go to work and everything was covered. it was nice. driving was slow, but i dint slip. got to work, it was still snowing. got outta work round 130, and there was barley any snow out. the sun had melted the snow on the pavement. craziness.

i got a DVD burner on wednesday. love it, just wish DVD Encoding was faster. it took an hour and a half to burn a 20 minute DVD. the actual burning took only about 10 minutes, maybe less.

from wednesday til friday night i was workin on a special project making a video for VIckie n Sheryl. it was great. i love workin on this stuff. If i had my own camera id be makin movies all day. i got scripts in my head that need to be made into movies.

im tryin to get all the church videos and make em into DVDs so i can edit them later as needed for anniversaries n stuff. need to get a Digital 8 camcorder, so i can film in Digital, and still play my old Hi-8 tapes. AND i need a DV camcorder, to enter the new digital age. but i REALLY want a Canon XL-1S. its a 3 CCD Camcroder. CCD is what makes the picture. the more CCDs, the better. most consumer cameras have one CCD.

neway, im watchin Trading Spaces: Home Free. love trading spaces. want to redesign my room. im so glad glenn n Justine won the first won. the youth pastor n wife from Orlando. i feel bad for the other team, another youth pastor n wife, but they werent as good as the Lavender team. i missed the last one. i love the color orange, but tonight, i think im rooting for light blue. their room looks hot, and their workin well together. orange is not working well.

ICF Coffeehouse on Friday, 26th. at Rutgers. apparently ZOA wants me to run sound, which is alright i guess, but i just found out thats what they wanted me to do. those sneaky bat-turds. ah well.

hmm, maybe telecomm is my calling. perhaps i should be a film student. ARGH! this sux. if i had money, i woudlnt need a degree, but i need a degree to get money. stupid Catch-22.

T.O. ‘n’ da snow!

Mar 16th, 2004 Posted in And So It Happened | No Comments »

I return to double blogging on both my xanga and my site. i might do this every now n then, jsut cuz i dont ahve much to use on my xanga.

my attempt to convert this to Flash has hit a road block, but im sure i can work around it.

T.O. IS AN EAGLE! I was at work today and i was setting up the projection TVs. (those DLP HDTVs are sooo nice) and ESPN was on the satellite feed, and they were talkin about every philly team cept the flyers. phillies lookin good, AI is not happy here, but hes the only good thing here, and of course, TO and the 9ers/ravens trade. there was talk about how today they might veto the trade or whatever, and that then there would be talks witht he eagles. i get out of work at 230 check my phone, and Koshy sent me Text messages that TO is an eagle! i was flippin out!, #81, emerald jersey, FLY EAGLES FLY, ON THE ROAD TO VICTORY! E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES!

what really surprises me is that all we had to give up was whiting to the 9ers, and 6th round pick to the ravens. seems pretty cheap. maybe koshy got it wrong when he told me?

the weather here in philly is CRAZY! i love it, i do. yesterday was so nice, like high 50’s i believe. beautiful, sunny, bright, clear. today, snow n freezing rain. HUH? whatever, i dont mind. im one of those crazy fools who likes the snow. Just need a 4×4 to drive in it.

My parents are back!

Mar 15th, 2004 Posted in And So It Happened | No Comments »

today was a long tiresome day. mainly cuz i was tired from yesterday.

yesterday was church, got up early to get pstr freddy’s slideshow ready, then after church we ate at my aunts house and went to paly basketball. basketball was good, it was the first game of our league, which will hopefully run well. we had three teams, PICA, GPC, and COG. no one from PFGA or IPC (HIV, i eman HIWC:P). least i thnk there wasnt, i got abd memory. that was from 3-6.

after that we had a PCYF meeting. not a meeting meeting, but a planning meeting. that was at jose abrahams house. MAN! hes got a NIIIICE house. got a grand piano, not baby grand, grand piano, and it takes up very little space. all the beds have step so you can climb into them. its friggin HUGE!

neway after that i had to go to Josh;s friends house to pick up a computer, then i was jsut tired and tooka shower and slept at 12.

5 hours later i woke up for work and it was no biggie at work. did all my stuff finished it all. we ordered chinese which filled me up and made me even more tired. later jen and teena tried to hold me down in a chair while i was trying to print signs, and they tried to cut my hair. in the scuffle to get away fromt hem i banged my elbow in the toolbox and cut my self. finally i let Teena, the professional Hairdresser In Training, cut a small lock of my hair which she now has taped to her clipboard, like when people attach antlers tot he hood of their car. well i know what im talkin about

came home at 3, and slept til 5. everyone else left to pick up my parents. yea, they come home today. the doorbell ringeth!

my parents jsut came home. YEA! i know, “why arent you down there?” cuz i got lotsa time to be with them. let my aunts n uncles spend time with them. plus i gotta finish this blog.

PCYF meeting was on friday. it was good. Nick Gough was awesome. its pronounced like goff, no goh.

ICF Coffeehouse on 26th with Zoa, Frontlynaz, and others at Rutgers. i hope i can go. Sam and Stan are goin to JOC thursday. i think ill go wiht them. needa get out more.

Gov’t Job

Mar 11th, 2004 Posted in And So It Happened | No Comments »

i forgot, yesterday in the mail i got a letter from the office of vocational rehabilitation in Norristown. it’s form that government job testing that i took a few weeks ago. the starting salary is REAL nice, full time, gov benefits, but im gonna ahve to turn it down cuz its 40 minutes away. ill do 30 minutes, but 40’s too much of a stretch.

just when i thought i had it all figured out, i screw it all up. iunno tends to be that way for me. i jsut keep falling into bad habits. got my room cleaned again, but my desk is covered in code from MT and Flash. i should take better care of this stuff.

My hair is UP. yes, it is. i like it. at work they threatened to tie me down and store use a pair of clippers. i did like my hair shaved n short with a nice shapeup, but i want it long while i still got it.

started listenin to Cream again. Eric Clapton is amazing. i love his stuff, all of it, old, new, everything he does is amazing. i need to find my ginger baker and jack bruce.

i got a new name for our band. the band, which was formerly Skip the Bear and is now Tonal Memory, should now be called GUmmy Bears & Kool-Aid. Eh, whatever. just need to practice, get songs written, get disco to show up, or find a replacement.

i need new friends. not all new, jsut some new ones. basically i need friends who dont ahve school and share an interest in music. in other words, i need band members!

today i had work not by choice, and then work by choice.

first it was work at BBY, it was alright, setup two planograms that i ahvent setup before, Cell Phones and Computer Speakers. both required a bit of work. Cell phones required unsecuring phones and resecuring them in new locations and securing new displays. Computer Speakers required connecting speakers to switches and to the CD player. jsut a lot of dismantling and reassembling.

then i got home bout 330. fromt hen on i worked on my website in Flash. got parts working that i couldn’t get working yesterday. then i thought of new things that i want, that’ll take more time figuring out. big help from ActionScripts.org. There are tutorials in ActionScript that are really helpful. been findin lotsa stuff there to help me remember soem things, and just reference scripts to use.

it’s tough figurin out all this, but i like figuring things out.

CROSSING JORDAN RETURNS! WHOO HOO! TVs on, decided to take break. and now strangers are IMing me. I know how to take a break. Now I ahve a stalker. interesting.

i shoudln’t have the TV on and IM and all at the same time. that plus my lack of sleep adds to lack of focus and GRR! lata

Goo Gone Roulette

Mar 5th, 2004 Posted in And So It Happened | No Comments »

i wrote a poem today. i forget what it was. OH wait found it!

Squeaky chair annoys my ears
Tragic story brings forth tears
sniffing Goo Gone hurts my head
taking a sip makes me dead
eight hours shifts and body is sore
talking to you is a bore

yea, today at work i was sniffin the goo gone. smells like oranges. funny story:

“My head hurts,” I told Joe, as i lifted the bottle of Goo Gone to take another delightful whiff. He looked at me me curiously and said sarcastically, “I wonder why?” The smell was so pleasing, so refreshing. If only i had an orange.

As i stood there in the middle of the warehouse, with everyone paying me no attention, i contemplated the flavor of goo gone. i tend to think out loud. I looked down at the bottle for warning labels. It read, “Can be harmful or fatal if swallowed!” Well, it wasn’t definite, it was just a possibility right?

I walked to the boxes of unpriced CDs, where Joe was diligently pricing, along with Floyd. Stretching out the bottle i said, “Joe, I’ll take a sip, and then you take a sip, and we’ll go back and forth until one of us passes out. It’ll be our game of Goo Gone Roulette.”

Joe just laughed and returned to his work citing, “I don’t gamble.”

I was gonna add a video section. I have a video from 6th annual NJMTC COffeehouse. its a short clip wiht these guys doin “Praise God!” to the tune of “Hey Ya!” It’s really funny. And i have another video i wanted to put up of our first PCYF meeting. thing is they’re all big files, and i only have 300MB of space. the Coffeehouse clip is bout 3MB, the PCYF clip is bout 50MB. until i can find a video server, or afford more space, im not gonna put that up.

Other than that i have to make Narco’s site. i guess it’ll be fun. dint really wanna do it, but now that my video page is fallin apart, ill try to get on that. Everyone get ready for his Epicult. or was it Epacult. whatever.

Xanga is down. i think ill jsut be posting entries here. keep my xanga for some stuff every now and then. maybe ill write stories there, prepare for my novel. a fictional novel. “Da Vinci” is a fictional novel, so don’t be misled. i know that came outta nowhere.

second hand road rage

Mar 1st, 2004 Posted in And So It Happened | No Comments »

Today was a tiresome day. got bout 4 hrs of sleep and worked four and a half hours. Then, i came home, my grandparents had come cuz they’re stayin with us while my parents go to india. Thats right, im not goin, my parents are, both of them.

I slept while almost my entire local extended family helped them get ready. around 4 i woke up, took some pictures for them to take to india, and went with them to the airport. we dropped them off, and came back.

It was me, david, my cuzns, linda and feba, and their parents in my cuzns minivan. we were heading back form Newark airport, and uncle isnt the best driver. linda, feba, if you’re reading this, sorry. we got lost almsot tryin to get outta the parking lot, then we missed hte xit to I-95, even though it says I-95, had to U-turn, almost got hit.

Once we got on NJTP, the speed limit is 65, we were goin 60! everytim uncle got confused, we slowed down immensely. i tried to tell david without linda n feba hearin, but linda saw the text message and whispered it in my ear, and i think uncle heard cuz he shot up to 80.

But, we got home safe, no road rage. did a lot of thinkin. my future’s lookin good, harsh, but good.

got a wedding on saturday in NY. i really wanna drive up there, told my parents itd be ok, cuz we’d be followin ppl. but they’re too scared, and i know they’ll call and if they find out we’re driving, they’ll be stressin over in India.

its only 1040, n im sleepy. tomorows another day.

TANG!

Feb 29th, 2004 Posted in And So It Happened | No Comments »

(i started this one on saturday night. Pictures below)

Yes yes, the layout has changed again. added this new color to balance things out. though there was an over saturation of orange.

Anyway. ive got a story. Last night we took Moo out to eat at Friday’s. We got there and it was just me Moo n FoN for a while, and the waiter came asked for our drink orders, and freaked out when he found out he was only 15. Koshy n Lyrical came, shortly followed by the Puerto Rican (MNKY) n Disco. we got our food talked had some laughs. lotsa laughs.

Our table was situated near the Mens room. wasnt really a bother or anything. we were in our own lil corner. ppl came and went tot he bathroom, we didnt really notice them. One guy, an older oriental fellow, stands there, outside the mens room, just lookin at us, smiling, and starts shakin his leg. MNKY nods at him and he smiles and sits down next to Koshy! we were like “HUH?! who is this guy?” and the fun starts.

His name, was Tang. He’s a Vietnamese lawyer from California with his own practice, dealing with immigration stuff. He was married to a vietnamese girl, but divorced her, and is now with an indian girl from Guyana. At first we were weirded out, uncomfortable, but then we realized he may be a lil buzzed, but he’s harmless. He started off slowly in his vietnamese accent, “I lou indians. dont get me wong.” and he went on about how much he loves indian culture constantly reminding us “dont get me wong” and saying “i lou indians.”

At one point he asked where we were from. we told him that our families were form kerala, but that half of us were born here, the other half came when they were very young. He wasn’t sure where kerala was, so, david decided to describe kerala in relation to sri lanka and other places, and he was totally off. the 6 of us started laughin hysterically at his description and david and tang dint know what was goin on.

Tang continued repeating his life nad reiterating how much he “lou indians.” he began to speak of how beautiful indian women are and said some Bollywood actresses name. we dont watch much bollywood, so we were like uh…ok. Moo asked him questions, questions that had to be repeated several times along with other information. eventually Tang said, “ok, i have something to say, but no more quesions” we were dying!

our waiter, jeff came by to check up, and tang had just found out that it was Moo’s Birthday. he asked jeff, “can i get a cake for my friend here?” and we were all scared cuz he wasnt with us, and we didnt want to pay for a big cake, but we didnt say anything to be nice. Tang continued to speak and eventually, after saying thank you and leading us to believe he was leaving about 20 times, he got up and left to go meet more new people.

We told our waiter that he wasnt with us that he just came by, so dont get us that cake. and he told us that he had been hanging around there for bout 3 months and that all the waiters know him. We were all laughing havin a good time. then we thought, lets call tang back and get his picture! so they went to find him and call him back, but he was busy hugging everyone at the bar.

eventually he came back with his friend Joe. joes bout 35, white, from round here. Tang said, this is my brother joe, i hope he was just speakin figuratively. When Tang ‘n Joe came over they brought over jeff with a big ol sundae. Tang paid for it, and he joined us with joe and we laughed and took some pictures. Joe told us how tang got the numbers from two indian girls at the bar the night before, and how shocked he was at the site of them at the bar. we talked, koshy traded cell numbers with tang, oh wait, he took tang’s cell number, and gave him MNKY’s!!! HAHA!

well the night ended, we ate all our food and paid and left. i feel bad, cuz the 15% gratuity was int here already, and i wanted to give him more so i put more in, but i messed up when i filled out the receipt, and when i checked my credit, it only took out the regular amount. if that makes sense, more power to you. then we all went home, after they checked out my Eagle Vision and my head unit. and i went home to thoor. i know, TMI =P

and for stickin through that entire entry, or just for scrolling down, here are some pics. (more at FoN’s site):

Moo trying to describe kerala’s location as Koshy watches

Lyrical actually ate all those Ribs!!

Koshy is caught off guard by MNKY

“I lou Indians. Don’t get me wong”
